Q: How do I make a complaint?
A: Go to Make a Complaint, select product or business and the rest is self-explanatory

Q: How do I submit a review?
A: Go to Write a Review, select product or business and follow the steps.

Q: How do I check a complaint or review I submitted?
A: Please login, go to MY ACCOUNT and click on "My Complaints" or "My Reviews" for a summary. 
If you want details, click on the link under "Submitted Date". 

Q: How do I change a complaint or review I submitted?
A: If you need to notify us that a complaint has been resolved, please see Resolution of complaints below. Otherwise, please update a complaint by submitting a review.  

Free legal advice

Q: I would like to claim a reward for submitting 3 reviews?
A: If you have done reviews of 3 different products or services which comply with our Review Guidelines within a period of 4 weeks, we will arrange FREE LEGAL ADVICE to help you resolve a complaint you have submitted and, if appropriate, a legal letter to the business. Just go to the Contact Us page, select “Other” and complete all sections including the following information in the comments panel – 

  1. the Complaint ID number for each of the 3 reviews; and
  2. any other additional information which is relevant.
The Complaint ID can be found in My Account (after logging in) on the same line as the complaint.
 
Pre-purchase search
Q: How can I do a pre-purchase search to check the reputation of a product, service or business?

A: Go to the Pre-Purchase Check page and click on the relevant search – product or business.

Obtaining information

Q: How do I receive notifications of scams, rip-offs and buying tips?
A: Please Sign In and select the "member details" link. Then tick the box “Subscribe to BuyersVoice notifications” and press the "Save" button.

Q: How do I receive a copy of your eBook "How to make your complaint count"?
A: Anyone who submits a complaint is entitled to a copy of this eBook. If you have already submitted a complaint, please go to Contact Us and complete the relevant details.

Q: I would like detailed information about complaints which affect my business
A: If you are a registered business, you will have received information about how to access these details. If you are not a registered business, please complete a Business Application and we will contact you

Q: I would like to obtain detailed information about other complaints
A: You can only obtain information about complaints which affect other businesses if you have a genuine reason. For example, you may be a media organisation which needs information for a story. Or you may be a law firm which needs information for litigation. If you do have a good reason, please go to the Contact Us page, select "Other" and complete all sections including the following information in the comments panel –

  1. the name of your business and type of business;
  2. the information you are seeking; and
  3. the reason why you need this information.

Q: How do I access a list of complaints I have submitted?
A: Please go to My Account, login and then click on "My Complaints".

Q: I would like to enquire about advertising
A: Please go to Contact Us and complete the relevant details.

Providing information

Q: How do I notify BuyersVoice about a scam, rip-off, etc?
A: Please go to Contact Us and complete the relevant details.

Q: How do I provide feedback about BuyersVoice?
A: Thank you! We appreciate you taking the time to do this. Please go to Contact Us and complete the relevant details.

Resolution of complaints

Q: A complaint I submitted has been resolved
A: Please go to My Account and tick the box in the “Complaint resolved” column which corresponds with the relevant complaint. Please take note of the Complaint ID number on the same line and give that number to the business. The business will need to follow the procedure described below.

Q: A complaint affecting my business has been resolved
A: The person who complained must notify us that the complaint has been resolved and give you a Complaint ID number. If you have not already registered as a business, go to Business Application. If you have registered, please go to the Contact Us page, select "Other" and complete all sections including the following information in the comments panel –

  1. the name of the person who complained; and
  2. the Complaint ID number given to you by that person.
Miscellaneous

Q: I want to cancel my email notifications subscription.
A: Please LogIn, select the "Member details" link, untick the box “Subscribe to BuyersVoice notifications” and press the "Save" button.

Q: How do I change my password?
A: Please LogIn, select "Change password", follow the instructions and press the "Save" button.

Q: My query is not covered above. What do I do?
A: Please Contact Us and select “Other” from the list of reasons.
